Course Overview
This course is oriented towards the skills expected of the animator in the ecosystem Research Data Management (RDM) / Open Badges (OBs).
It assumes that the first two Moocs (Open Badges for Open Science and Basics of managing and sharing research data) have been completed and assimilated.
The role of the facilitators is to enable the emergence of OBs in their organisations. In concrete terms, their work will revolve around three roles:
- Identifying actions related to the RDM that can be recognised by OBs;
- Explaining and convincing data management stakeholders of the desirability of issuing OBs;
- Supporting the implementation of OBs.
Oberred project
This course was carried out in the context of the Oberred project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
Oberred is an acronym for Open Badge Ecosystem for the Recognition of Skills in Research Data Management and Sharing. The aim of the Oberred project is to create a practical guide that includes the technical specifics and issues of Open Badges, roles and skills related to RDM, and principles for the application of Open Badges to RDM.
